Vigneti Massa Timorasso ‘Sterpi’ 2013, Piedmont, Italy
Vigneti Massa Timorasso ‘Sterpi’ 2013, Piedmont, Italy
The Sterpi together with Costa del Vento are the top crus from Vigneti Massa. Sterpi come from younger vines but the main difference with his “brother” Costa is due to the soil. Here the soil is stony-calcareous, this gives to timorasso grape a unique character and sharp minerality. Like Costa only 5.000 bottles produced every year, a rarity among rarities!

Vigneti Massa Timorasso ‘Costa del Vento’ 2015, Piedmont, Italy
The Costa del Vento is the name of the first vineyard that Walter planted with Timorasso; the first bottling was in 1997. Made from old vines, which add depth and complexity, it offers a rich bouquet of herbs and peaches. Rich and fruity in the mouth, the palate is luxurious and expansive with dried fruit, stone fruit, floral notes and sublime balance. The finish is spicy and shows fine mineral notes.

Borgo del Tiglio, Collio DOC 2015, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Italy
Borgo del Tiglio, Collio DOC 2015, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Italy
Collio DOC is the highest expression of the territory, a canvas onto which each producer creates his or her own image of the best white wine of the region. Friuliano was the only grape grown at the estate in 1981, called at the time simply tocai grape. Together with friulano we found in the blend also chardonnay and Riesling, low yields in and late harvest gives to this wine the complexity that deserves. The elegant overtones of this wine with his delicate subtle bouquet make it very drinkable. One glass leads to another.
Wine maker - Nicola Manferrari

Borgo del Tiglio Collio Chardonnay DOC, 2015, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Italy
After his studies in Burgundy, Nicola decided in 1987 to plant chardonnay. This grape likes cool climate and like in Burgundy the wine is aged in new French barriques from 9 to 14 months. Only 30hl of this precious ‘liquid’ are produced every year. On the nose is creamy with hints of butter and vanilla, a touch of coffee above the tropical fruits. Elegant with an extreme long finish

Saladini Pilastri
Offida Pecorino DOCG 2016, Marche, Italy
The Pecorino Offida is a deliciously crisp white and we are thankful that it was brought back from the brink of extinction after a few vines were discovered living in a wild state in the Marche. Its name originates from the fact that it was once a favorite snack of sheep (pecora) that were driven through vineyards on their way to lower pastures. “Bright, deep gold-tinged yellow. Captivating aromas of jasmine, white peach and honeyed pear. Big, fresh and suave, with a sage nuance perking up the rich winter melon, pear and citrus flavors. Finishes minty and long.” Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar.

I Pastini
IGT ‘Rampone’ Minutolo, 2015, Puglia, Italy
I Pastini
IGT ‘Rampone’ Minutolo, 2015, Puglia, Italy
The Rampone is a pure Minutolo, made from grapes grown in a restricted area of the Itria Valley. Called Minutolo for the berries small and fragile, a very delicate grape variety. It is also mistakenly called "Fiano" Minutolo, but it differs from Fiano d'Avellino both the form of the berries for the taste and flavors. Almost completely lost in the past, Minutolo has been rediscovered in the present, grown and produced to enhance its potential which not only have been helped by the skilled hands of the company "I Pastini", but also from the territory in which it is grown. The Rampone has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose is intense, revealing all the aromatic compounds of the the Minutolo grape, with delicate fragrances of flowers and exotic fruits and slightly spicy finish. The wine is fresh, balanced and with a good acidity, expression of minerality mainly due to the chalky soils where it is grown.
